Hello, I have a 67 chevelle convertible. Did they ever have a rear view mirror with a light as a option in hardtops or convertibles? thanks for any help.

I did some research and could not find any factory or dealer option for a rear view mirror with a light.

What kind of mirror do you have on your convertible? Does it have grey rubber around the base?

I think that started in 70 in Chevelles

I posted this before and tried to get an answer, but I got no response. The mirror in my 67 rag has a grey rubber cover over the base, and also uses grey rubber around the glass itself. I am trying to figure out what did it look like when new. The only response I got was from A TC member who said he had the same thing in a camaro. If you have ant info. I would appreciate it.

My convertible does have grey rubber. The guy I bought this mirror from said it came out of a 67 hardtop. He said it wasn't a factory option but you could get it from a dealer??? I'm trying to find out for sure before I put this in.

You might want to check other GM divisions. It is quite common for dealers to take options from one division and install it in another at a buyers request. For example I have a dealer installed Pontiac "reverb" unit in my Chevelle.
