well my custom consol that i started on back in June, is just about done. my dad and I got it all wrapped in vynal last night, and got 2 of the few supports put in so its in one peice. next is to get some stainless steel, and get the holes cut out for guages and equilizer, and shifter. i also might be adding some little LED's around the perimiter of the top, that come on when the dash lights are on.

one question tho...how would u go about mounting the consol to the floor? up in the front, its tight against the dash, but i need to some up with a way to fasten it in the back. you think somthing like a stock consol braket would work? but then how does it fasten to the floor (the bracket im refering to)? does it get welded?

Looks great!! I built a custom console about 10 years ago, for my 66 out of 3/4" particle board and speaker box carpet. I have a bench seat. I put my guages, cd player, and drink holders in mine.

thanks. yeah pics dont do any justice to how good it looks. i have a few pics i may upload of it in the car, but i still dont have any of the stainless steel yet, or anything else mounted.

Aaron, that looks great. It looks like the same thing I want to do for my car. Make sure you post more pics when it is in and finished (then I can steal some ideas from you).

awesome looking console! that was ingenous (sp?) mounting the speaker right there on the end!!! and man do you have a lot of pictures on your page...took me 20 minutes just to get to the console.

haha. yeah took me 7 months to get this far. just wasnt motivated on the consol. but yeah def looks good.
