: Color of letters on 70 console shift ind. lens. plainfieldbob Apr 8th, 02, 6:38 PM I want to change out my console shift indicator lens on my 70 chevelle ss that has horseshoe shifter with 400 trans. The letters P R N 3 2 1 are faded. A new one has green letters. Thought I would get one from Year One. Has anyone seen what these look like as far as the color? 71velle Apr 8th, 02, 8:41 PM I believe the 70's were green but the 71's and 72's were white. Someone will correct me if i am wrong. Though the letters on the repro ones are a bit bigger than the letters on the original lenses.
