I'm installing a new dash pad on my 70 chevelle SS .. when I purchased the car the pad was there but not screwed down.

Does anybody know what size and color screws should be used to mount the dash pad to the dash?

Screws were black - I'm guessing #8's but not sure, pick up an interior screw kit from Ground Up, they will be in there, they also have a cupped washer attached to them. May be over kill to buy the kit but you may wind up replacing some old screws as well from other areas of the interior.
