It would be 200-300,depending on how many I could sell.I am going to do it the same way i done the hotchkis deal.Im going to run it at my cost for 30 days, then goto 15% off.I have talked to them but i want to make sur there will be enough people interested, and I might run the deal for 2 months depending on how many I can sell and what everyone else wants to do.I defeintly want it for my 69 but i dont want to pay the 1000.00 price tag for it though,so i figured why not sell t,and get min cheaper and help out some TC,and ACES members at the same time. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I would definatly be interested in just a polished compressor for a 70 Chevelle, and anything else needed to convert to the new compressor gas thats used. Also, what is better to use, R-12 or 134a?

crowenate
Dec 8th, 03, 9:23 PM
Tim,Im sur you can upgrade to what which one you want Id say it will cos extra,Im not sure how much I will just have to call and find out about that.

Justin I would go with the 134a the main reason is it is cheaper and what I have read about it in Vintage airs book is it's just as good.If you just need to switch to the new style stuff If your system is working good now you can get the conversion kit pretty cheap at any parts store and walmart in my town even has it.But If you need the compessor I can get it.Ill let you know the cost.

Thanks for the interest in vintage air guys. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I talked to vintage air today and on the 70-72 chevelle's you have to use the GEN2 supercooler, the good thing is it only costs around 500.00 and it cools better. The bad things is you have to make you own cover for the firewall, and you have to either mount the controls under the dash and leave the factory controls so it looks original or you can make a mounting plate like you would for a cd player and put the controls in the factory spot. But it is over 300.00 cheaper and cools better. So that makes up for it.

crowenate
Dec 24th, 03, 1:22 AM
Come on guys I know there is a couple more guys out there that needs a sure fit or a front runner kit,or maybe a gen2 super cooler now is a good time to get it you can have it out in before it gets hot again. And you will not beat this price anywhere.I need to place the order in 2weeks tops so dont deley get em while you still have time to put them in before it turns off hot.It will sure make sitting in that long hot traffic alot better next year. :D
