I have a 1970 chevelle with the sweep style dash and I just wanted to switch to the SS dash.

Should I go the repro route or try to find an original and restore it?

Has anyone tried using the repro SS dash?

I recently did the swap from a sweep dash to the repop SS dash. The swap itself was quite easy ( I was doing the rest of the interior anyway). I'm still trying to get the wiring to work properly. I think you have to get the corresponding dash harness to make things work right. I think the quality of the repop was quite good and I am pleased with how it works.

P.S. Are you located in La Canada, CA? If so, my folks live there and that's where my car currently resides. If you wanted to take a look at the dash we could set something up. Then you could get a better idea of what you're getting into.
