I need to replace the front, split bench seat in my 1971 Malibu convertible. Does anyone know if 1970-1972 seats were all the same except for the seat covers themselves? Are ElCamino seats the same? Please advise with any information. Thanks... Happy Chevelling..

Ummm . . . let me see if I have this straight . . . a split bench seat?? Do you mean that the back will fold down, being split in the middle? Or do you mean the entire seat is a split bench so that the drivers side and passanger side move forward and backward independently??
If you are talking about the first example (split back fold down) then, yes the elcamino, chevelle, and montecarlo have the same seat.
If you are talking about a true split bench seat, then I think olds had some.
