Does anyone know if a 73 Chevelle rearend assembly will swap into a 69 Chevelle frame/body. It appears that the 68-72 Chevelle family is interchangable, but can't find any info on later years. I've got a good 73 rearend and a 69 car in need. If not a bolt-in, what's the difference? Any help appreciated. Thanks, CW.

The mounts at the rearend that hook to the control arms are placed differently and I think the width from side to side is different.

Rix is right, the upper control arm mounts are at a different angle. CW, where do you live? I will be replacing the 10-bolt in my '69 with a 12 soon, bout another week. Will be looking to get rid of the 10 bolt quick. It's a 3.08 peg-leg, it's in good shape and will be priced to move (got no where to store it).

I could use the carrier from that 8.5" 10 bolt if it is a posi, and not a 2.56 unit. I have a 3.42 open carrier in my Laguna.
