Try a search,i think you need a tool to get the nut behind the knob.

Try this link to remove lock. I just did it recently on my 68.

Forgot to mention....put the key in the lock and turn it to the counterclockwise position to access the little hole to release the lock as in the pictures

Another question now that I can remove it. Mine is loose in the glove box door - it tends to rattle around and can't be right. Is there adjustment available to correct this?

Tighten the housing to the door with a BIG allen wrench

OK, so if I remove the cylinder then the housing remains in the door and is held in with a nut with an internal hex - right? That is why I need a BIG allen wrench I assume.
