Well as may be the case for many guys my WIFE wants to know if I can install shoulder belts in our 69 malibu convertible. Does anyone know if that is even possible?

It should be possible, because as I recall, they were an option (albeit a seldom ordered one) from the factory in 69. I believe I saw a set offered on eBay several weeks ago; seems to me they were out of a Pontiac LeMans convert. There might even be an illustration for the mounting in the factory assembly manual.

Thanks Joe and Bill I'll look into how much she really wants them. Plus how difficult are they to install?

I have shoulder belts in my 64 ElCamino. I got them from a 90 S10 in a junkyard. I welded a large washer to a nut and then welded it into the pillar. I'm not sure how well they would do in a crash. I hope I never find out. They look very strong, they are comfortable, and I figure they have got to be better than a lap belt.
