What do you people think is the best book(s)
to buy for identifying Chevelles?
Thanks for your input!

What are you identifying. If you just want to know the body styles, then get a free parts catalog from somewhere like Year One. These are loaded with pictures of all years and you can't beat the price.

It just occured to me that Year One also includes trim numbers, how to read cowl tag and VINs, and producion numbers for each year from 64-72.

Mike, Year One is a good Source for this info as the other Mike indicated.
Also the "Chevrolet By the Numbers" Series by Alan Colvin is good. For 70's you would want the 70-74 edition. They also have a 60-64 book and a 65-69 edition.
Good Luck!

Mike,
You can't do better in your search for "correctness" than Colvin's _Chevrolet By The Numbers_. The entire series is superb.
