I own a 1965 chevelle, I need to know
what the differance is between 6cly frame brackets and smallblock frame brackets?
If I use the original 6cyl. brackets will the small block sit in my car wrong?

hoffa, Hi I saw your question and thought I'd throw you the answer. You will need the V-8 frame mounts because the 6 cyl mounts are different and won't work. I have a 6 cyl in my 64 chevelle and the guy I bought it from gave me the V-8 mounts with the car. My brother in law has a 65 with a V-8 and the V-8 mounts are the same as I was given. Hope this helps.

Hey hoffa,
64 is right on. The inline engine sits different (further foreward) in the chassis than the V-8. Fan shroud and radiator mountings are affected as well. mgg
