Anybody have advice on replacing the plastic rollers attached to the window regulator? This is on a 69 Malibu with manual windows. The roller center post or axle looks to be pressed into the hole and I don't see a way to get the plastic wheel portion off of the post without tearing it up.

Pictures of replacement rollers in OPG catalog show a threaded post. So is the idea to drill out old roller, post and all, and then stick in a replacement with threads and attach a nut to the back? Will the nut stick out too far then?

Snap-on makes the tool to do this. Can use channel-locks. Be very, very careful so you don't break the window.

the regulator is out of the door with no glass attached. Just regulator and white plastic rollers in various stages of decay.
