I searched this topic but didn't really find anything with a good description.

I know to remove the bottom section you have to push down on the seat to release it, but not sure what part of the seat to push on.

Push back and down oh about 15 inches or so in from the ends of the seat.
Try pushing back and down on the lower portion of seat.

What a tough thing to try and describe in writing. The hooks that are holding it in are about 2" back from the front of the seat and about a foot or so in from the sides. they are mounted to the floor and part of the seat frame runs through them. You push the frame down and back to get it out of the hook. This is easier said than done...it takes lots of trial and error to get it but you'll know it when it pops out. Just work one side at a time. Good luck...

I think maybe you have to push back then down and out

I could be wrong again, I was one time in 1956
