I'm looking for the correct coil for my '66 SS396/325HP built 2/16/66. I think it should be a #1115242 Delco-Remy or possibily a #1115204 Delco-remy(prior to 2/66). THANKS to anyone who can varify this and or help me locate one!

Doug,
You can get away with using either one of them, as your build date is right on the "cusp", so to speak. I see mostly 242 coils on 66 Chevelles. Unless you're planning on showing the car in a strict concours class, I'd use whatever one was cheaper and easier to find. A lot of these parts places get them from the junk yards, recondition(strip and repaint) and restamp them with the yellow part number, and sell them for a lot of money.

I have a new GM coil with a white part # stamped on it for a 70 L78 Camaro. I know it covers different years and makes when I looked in my parts book. Can't remember the numbers from here.
