I have a console that has the seat belt clips on the side. I've noticed some are mounted on the top of the console. What way is correct for a 67 or does it matter?

Automatic or standard?

67 SS Console would have seatbelt clips mounted on top side by side., but if that console doesn't have the clips, that is okay., but not on the side of console ever.

I hate to disagree, but '67 automatic consoles did have the clips on the side, the '67 4-speed consoles had the clips on the top.

Assembly manual confirms clips mounted on side of console base for automatics. Manual trans is on top. All auto consoles I have seen with clips were mounted this way... Here's another pic

Bad 67 is correct auto's had clips on the side 4 speeds were side by side on top.

My mistake fellas, sorry.. I never even considered Automatics, when I hear Console, I go right to 4 speed mode smile.gif

Does anyone have a picture of a 4 speed console with the clips? thanks again I have a 4 speed console with top clips out here on the shelf. Do you need a measurement? I can take a picture, but I don't have my my digital at the shop, so it might take a day or so.
