What would cause my 12 bolt positive traction, on my big block chevelle not lock up both wheels on a burn out?

You sure its really a posi? Replace the gear oil and posi-additive first. if its still not working (drive in tight circles for a minute then do a burn out) then remove/replace http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Gary, Posis don't last forever. Also, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. If you load the left wheel hard on a standing burnout (especially with sticky tires), chances are it'll stop turning. BUT when you launch it, you should still be getting power to both wheels. I'd only panic if I dumped it out of the hole and only 1 tire went up in smoke while I was moving. Then you got problems.
