I am assembling the frame for my 66 SS396 project. I ordered the super front end kit from PST. I went to press in the lower ball joints today, and I did not need to, the ball joint slips right in and it's loose!! I thought they may have sent me the wrong parts, but I happened to have another new set laying around (I ordered them for a 70 chevelle years ago and never used them) These did the same thing! It's not like these lower control arms were all rusted, and metal flaking off, they had no rust at all on them, so I don't think the hole could have stretched. I tried to press in the old ball joints (only about 2 yrs. old) and they pressed in, but soon as it bottomed out, I could spin it by hand in the arm?? What the hell do I do now. I know I don't need new arms, these are in great shape. Please Help!!!

Here's what it says in my 70 Chevelle service manual.

NOTE: The lower control arm spherical joint is a loose fit in the assembly when not connected to the steering knuckle.
