Anybody ever tear down their convertible top hydraulic cylinders, and rebuild them ? Can it be done ?? Recrimping issues ??? I find it hard to justify 300 bucks in "new" cylinders for 30 bucks in seals
Thanks

Nobody has done thir cylinders ???
Are they designed to be non-servicible totally ???
I find it hard to believe, we can rebuild, virtually every part of a car, and not these cylinders. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/confused.gif

The problem we came upon was that the 71 cylinders had plastic fittings for the hoses. Otherwise it would have been easy for a hydraulic shop to repair.
