I'm having my bench seats recovered and came across a slight problem. The factory hard-plastic end caps and headrest trim is totally trashed, to the extent that the trim guy can't re-use any of it. Anyone know where to get a set? I don't see it repoped anywhere. BTW, the seats are pearl--thanks for the help!

hey tony. . . I ran into the same problem with my 70 pearl bench. I search the junkyards for the hinge covers (repops were $48 for the pair and $15 at the yard), I also found a pair of good used headrest trim pieces that I repainted along with the hinge covers using the pearl paint from yearone. came out pretty good.

I think the repops were in yearone or ground up.

I found a set of good used trim pieces for the headrests and hinges. Do I use the paint intended for hard plastic? I know Year One sells different paints for hard plastic and vinyl. Thanks-

I took one of the best end caps to the local auto zone and picked out a paint (dupla color) that was close. Used it. It seems each part is a little different shade anyway.
