I'm looking for the correct paint and color for my '69 ss dash bezel. Paul Herd's "restoration guide" specifies dupont 99L @ 30 degree gloss. That spec doesn't seem to match up with todays paints according to the paint suppliers I've talked to. They all can match this black color,but the 30 degree gloss didn't mean anything to them. One suggested buying "tempo" brand in a satin sheen.
I need to get this stuff in a spray can. Anybody been through this before that can help me?

I'm not sure about the "exact" match but when I did my dash, I used SEM plastic/vinyl die (spray can). I initially picked "Landau" but in a test, I thought it was too glossy. I eventually used "Satin". I am very pleased with the result.
