what is needed to prep the bumper for the ss pad and what type of glue should I use. Thanks

Ben,
The black rubber SS bumper pad requires a special glue for installation. Look for it at the same place where you got the pad. (I think Year One carries the glue for sure: 1-800-950-9503). The glue only has a shelf life of about a week so use it as soon as you get it!!!

If you don't want to use the glue, try double sided molding tape. I used it for my bumper pad, works great, no mess and easy to apply. It's been on the car for almost three years now, hasn't lost adhesion.
I think it was a 3M tape that I used. Good luck, Narti.

Try your local body shop supplier,they have an adhesive made by 3m that will glue your bumper pad on,mine's been on 2 years and still fastened perfectly.Make sure and clean with alcohol before applying pad and bumper should be off car on a flat surface,makes it much easier to get it on straight!
