Has anyone used a good fiberglass hood for street use (not for the drag strip) that is well made with no ripples and will paint nicely?

I bought a bolt on from Unlimited. It was very good. ALL glass hoods need blocking to get them straight. ALL of them. The bolt-ons from Harwood are also very good. I just was talked into straightening out a used camro hood my buddy bought. It's from someplace in Florida. A bolt on. It was THE WORST piece of *^&% I've ever seen. I put 40 hours into that thing and the fit was way off. 2" too short in length. And the rear curves by the windsheild was 1" higher than stock. It looked stupid. Also the hinge bolt holes were only regular nuts in fiberglass. We had to replace them all with screwed and tapped steel bars. My advice, don't buy anything fiberglass from Florida unless it's a boat.

My brother bought a 2" cowl hood from unlimited and it fit relatively well. I little work was needed but all will.

I bought a nice fiberglass hood from Harwood. It only took about 2-3 hrs. of blocking and I took 2 trophies with my 66 Elky the next two shows!

I just bought a 2" Cowl hood for my '65 SS, it's at the Paint Shop now and both I and the boys at Dino's Paint & Body were impressed with the quality. It fit perfectly!
