cjlandry Apr 1st, 02, 10:03 PM Here ya go! Wayne's custom dash (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/dash1.jpg)!
Looks awesome! I really like the work. Makes me want to do something similar with my '68. I'd have to modify quite a bit, but I think I might be able to pull it off.
In your last attempt, you put one too many http's in there and a C:\. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

SS540 Apr 2nd, 02, 6:46 AM Thanks for the help CJ. I was in a hurry last night and didn't have the patience to get it right.
The gauge arrangement allows me to see all the Auto Meter Phantoms through the stering wheel. The steering wheel is a Grant, don't remember the model name. I plan to swap it out for one with a grey grip.
The A/C vents and control are Vintage Air and no, the car doesn't have an A/C yet, but it will eventually.
There's no radio in the car - couldn't hear it if there was. I will get some shots of the console & shifter soon.
I have plans to cover the seats, the roll cage and some Rod Door panels in grey ultra leather soon.

SS540 Apr 2nd, 02, 8:16 PM Wes,
I used an old Monte Carlo (same as an SS dash)dash for this one. I used your old sweep dash to make Kenney Bennett (70 yellow Chevelle) a custom setup. He painted it two tone grey with some light grey pinstriping around the gauges & switches. I have to admit that I think it looks better than mine and it was a lot easier. I will get some pix of it soon. Working with an SS dash is very labor intensive.
I don't have any in-progress pictures of mine, but I cut out most of the curved plastic part. I used a piece of .060" thick aluminum for the new panel. I laid it back at the top so the gauges would have a slight upward tilt.
