As I said awhile ago, I was looking for another frame... Well, I am going to look at a 66 frame for my 67 malibu. What should I be looking for? Any places these frames liked to crack? I don't have any experience with buying a frame and I don't want to come home with junk. Thanks for any tips you have.

"67 Malibu"
Joe check around doglegs in back and up on the shock mounts. They usely crack there. Also check where the steering box bolts go through the frame. I have seen a lot rust holes in this area.

And get a bill of sale with a copy of (or the original) title to go with it. Frame changes need to be documented to keep the law away.

Joe, I did the same thing with my '67. Put a '66 frame under it. Just remember that when you go to buy rear suspension pieces, make sure you specify that your ordering for a '66. Springs and such are different so be aware of that. Anyway, good luck

Thanks for the ideas, guys... Good advise shvel, I would have never guessed the 66 suspension differed from the 67. I would have thought they were the same http://www.chevelles.com/forum/redface.gif Thanks, that could have been a big problem.
