Ok what's the trick to putting in a new glove box in a 69 SS? There wasn't one in the car when we got it so any help on this would be a great help!
thanks

You gotta take the door off! Then it slides right in.

Be aware that gloveboxes are different between A/C and non A/C cars. A/C car gloveboxes are just a plastic bin screwed to the door. I know Larry's reply works for A/C cars. Is it true for non A/C cars too?
The glove box liners have some creases so you can sort of semi-fold the thing a little to get it in place. It's a pain but it'll go with a little patience.

My reply was for Non-A/C cars. Incidentally, folding one is great way to mangle one, I know. Taking the glovebox door off takes about 15 seconds and the new box goes in very easily.

Thanks for the replys guys. Dad was able to get it in over the weekend, and he only busted up a few knuckles and spouted off a few obscene words. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif Hey it's his car let him tear up his knuckles! Sure is nice to have somewhere to put the registration...
