: Repro Dash Housing?

Greetings,

Has anyone purchased the repro 70 SS dash housing/bezel (the plastic that goes over gauges and includes glove box, I think?).

I'm trying to decide if I should purchase a used one ($$$) or buy a repro. If I buy used it will most likely need work. If I buy a repro I'm worried about fit/quality.

I currently have idiot lights or should I say had idiot lights. Sometime before I purchased the car someone cut out the idiot lights and installed aftermarket gauges destroying the dash.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Nope, I haven't, but I don't think they come with the glove box.

Howdy ,find you an old Monte carlo and swipe that dash!Just make sure to look under the burlwood insert to make sure there's no holes .Mine came out of a 72 monte (got it for 75 bucks )
good luck!

I said, "Dust!"

Repro Dash's seem to have the same quality, or more than acceptble quality, when compared to the original. You can get the door and ash tray as well. You can also get the FULL instrament gauges from Muscle Factory (who is the manuf of them) to go right in there. Less the oil guage which it never came with. Having seen a repro, it looks good, though I've not installed it for fuctionality. If you do go repro, make sure you're ready to put it in fairly quickly, as to make good on a return policy if you're not happy with it http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
