Guys....how do I get the black plastic Emergency Brake handle off the metal shaft?

Unhook the rod from the e brake pedal bracket so you can pull the handle out toward you, then unscrew the handle.

What about the lettering "BRAKE RELEASE"....for origionality, are the indented letters painted white or just left black like the rest of the handle.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Letters are white.
