: Bucket, Bench, versus aftermarket...
BB_Mike Mar 28th, 01, 10:50 AM Everybody now. "One of these seats is not like the other. One of these seats does not belong"

A closer bucket seat picture is here: http://www.auburnextremeracing.org/drivers/mike/seats/seats_01.jpg
I took out the bench seat. I bought the buckets locally. I then decided the old style bucket seats are not what I want. My decision was the left. They are made by Procar and sold by Scat Enterprises. Cost was $750ish for a pair. More pictures to come of course http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
including the new 2ng gen camaro consol with megashifter

RAMBO Mar 28th, 01, 11:12 PM Lookin good Mike!!!
Did you get the floor mounting brackets too? How do they feel in the car?
heh- your old bucket seat looks like it was covered by the same folks who made the chairs in my grandmas kitchen!! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/eek.gif
I'm sorry for not getting the pics of the juliano 3 point belt retractor yet... I've been tied up prepping my car for the body shop (and trying to locate a new tailgate)
I'll try to get the pics up by this weekend.

Scat custom makes the brackets and wanted $65 EACH with a 3 week turn around! Can you say, hell no? I got some 3"x4" angle iron and am using it as 4 seperate brackets. This way I can set the front height independent of the rear and give it the "slanted down" lower portion look. total bracket/hardware cost is about $50. paint and all.
Seatbelts. I ordered a set from god knows who and it hasn't come in yet http://www.chevelles.com/forum/rolleyes.gif the same company "Uncle" used. It has a longer 'pivot' piece that lowers the pivot point down some.
-Final pictures will be after this weekend for sure http://www.chevelles.com/forum/cool.gif
283v8 Mar 30th, 01, 6:15 AM I believe those originals were the "Baby diaper green" interior color option offered only by special order.
Your new choice looks GOOD! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

fast66hb Mar 30th, 01, 6:23 PM those seats look good! to much money for me though. i robbed buckets from a totalled '94chevy geo for $100 bucks, complete with brackets. they look good and are way better than my cheap black vynil bench seat. only thing is i have to recover them one day to mach the rest of the interior(when i get an interior! http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif )
