I have been fighting my windows and thier alingment in my 69 since I got it(97) Still all is not well. I am going to call Ground Up tommorow, and tell them to send me EVERY bushing roller, track, widget that they sell for this car.

Does anyone have any suggestions? graemlins/angry.gif

8 years of fighting the windows, I'd call a professional auto glass company for help.

Could be because parts are worn out, but it could also be in the way you do it.

I had the same frustrating experience when working on a -71 Camaro. The windows could be adjusted in 3 dimensions, and once you got one adjustment done and started on the next, the first one would get thrown off. Then I found a Fisher body manual and followed the correct sequence, and everything worked like a charm. Took me about 30 minutes per side to get it perfect, once I started doing it the right way.

I't was like a Chinese puzzle, as long as you did it in the right order, it was very easy, but doing it in the wrong order was almost impossible smile.gif

I agree with Olle-the Fisher body manual is a must! When I restored my '69, I took everything apart and would hve been lost w/o that book, as well as the other factory books. I even "rewrote" some of the instructions regarding the window when taking the glass out because I felt my way was a little better (at least for me) The body manual is available as a reprint from most any parts supplier, including our sponsor- Ground-up. Good luck!

Yep.. Backordered at ground up.

The guy at OPG says to go to the hardware store and look for drawer or some sort of rollers. sheesh. I need a damn bar stock of nylon, and a lathe and build my own kit, sell it, and make $$$

WOW just got done with that for now.

I picked up the ONLY window roller that NAPA had, and low and behold it turned out to be the exact one I needed. Rear of the front door. Not too hard to put in. All adjusted up. and no gaps!!! WOOT!!! Now to do the same to the rear 1/4 windows!
