Does anyone know of a place that sells new or reconditioned dash faces? My dash face is with full gauges and A/C , and i can't find a duplicate at any junkyards nearby. Also, what are some tips for restoring this part on your own?

Nathan...email me your mailing address..I'll shoot you an article or two on this. Is your dash mint (ie-no broken areas/cutouts/cracks)and just needs reconditioning ? What is your max budget to redo this ? And where is Quartz Hill !? Oh yes, what's your time frame to redo it, and how long can your car be out of service for this little fun job ? Heck, I just may HAVE a perfect condition 68 bezel at my storage area...I'll followup on this and let you know...It's moss green, but no a/c...I think it will work with minor cutting though. Shawn

i just took the bezel and gauges out of my 68 last week. i'm ready to send the bezels and knobs in to be replated. the gauge bezel would cost $235 to replate and paint. the tach ring is another $25. i think the knobs are $8 each. you have to strip the knobs yourself w/ muratic acid.

i've tried the silver paint route, but nothing compares to the real chrome.
