I'm painting the metal at the top of the doors with laquer spray paint from Rick's first gen. For whatever reason, it has a washed out/blushed look to it. I don't know if its the paint itself or if it just takes many more coats for it to fill in.
Anyone seen this before?

Dave, I had the same problem with interior laquer. Looks like it's humid there like it is here in NC, especially with the rain we have been having. The laquer will look like crap if you spray when its humid. I finally had to call the paint rep to figure out what was going wrong. Waited till it was less humid in the winter and it came out fine.

Thanks! Last night I did some research and I came up with the same thing. Last night I spray painted those coats and the weather outside was drizzling so very high humidity.
Hopefully that is it. I'll try again when it is sunny and dry.
This is what it looks like right now...

Hey Doug,
Thats EXACTLY what it was. I tried another coat of paint today. Weather was hot, sunny, & dry, 60% RH, and what a difference that made.
Thanks again.
