I rebuilt the power steering box last winter for my 66 ss396 restoration. I used Eastwood's detail paints to paint the components. Before storing the unit, I filled it with transmission fluid, and plugged uop the two ports so it would not leak. Well, when I pulled it out yesterday, the zip-lock bag that the gear box was in, was full of tranny fluid. I thought for sure the paint would be a mess. I wiped down the gearbox and was suprised to see the alumna-blast, and detail gray paint, was unscathed. Usually silver type pait just melts right off, this stuff is really durable. I plan on using it on my front springs, centerlink, tie rods, etc. Good Stuff!!
