On my 68 Malibu I have a 1 inch slice in my headliner, has anybody patched one before. How and what did you use?

Thanks,

Cant say I have patched one but I can tell you if you were to try I'd suggest buying a piece of duplicate headliner cloth and glue the patch underneath. Most of the places like year one ,Ground up etc will sell you a small piece of duplicate vinyl. If the slice is real close to a seam you might be able to have it resewn.

It's too far from a seam. I like the idea of using a similar piece of material. Maybe I'll stop by an upholsterer shop nearby and see if they have any.

What would you glue it with?

Thanks

Personally I like working with hot glue because it sticks to darn near everthing and I'm used to it...Some people have different experiences though. If your headliner is the black ribbed vinyl and you can't find it locally I may still have a piece left from my headliner install I could send your way.
