I'm putting the carpet in my 72, and was wondering if the front seat floor brackets are bolted on top of and thru the carpet, or are the seats put directly on the floor and the carpet cut around the floor brackets? Does it matter how? There were only a few fragments of carpet in the corners of the car and the seats were out when I bought it, so I have no way of knowing. TIA, Dennis

SEEN ALL FACTORY CARPET CUTOUTS
the cut outs you are looking for,
is rather simple.
its a upside down "T"
locate hole for bucket seat track
cut for "T" in center line.
bench seats need a longer "T"
because they reguire 2 bolts in the front and the rear TRACKS
Once the tracks are bolted down, then fold CARPET over bolt.
THATS IT!
THE Factory covered all seat track bolts
with the carpet
