I'm going to finally install the black plastic housing that came with my B&M shifter, but before I cut it poorly, I was wondering if anyone had any tricks to ensure the shape actually matches the floor.
I was goin to put tape on the ands and then use a pencil taped to a piece of PVC pipe to replicate the hump on the tape. I could then move that pattern to align to the bottom corners of the housing and cut it short with a rotary tool. I'd use a file to finish up the cut.
Anyone have a better (or proven) plan?
