The motor that I am running in my 64 malibu is one of the older ones that used the canister oil filter. I want down to my local hot rod shop and got an adapter so I can use a standard spin on filter. It wasa piece of junk! No matter what I do it wont stop leaking. Does any one know if some one makes a good adapter. Thisn one even started to crack when I took it off to see what was wrong.

I have got one on my 67. I believe it is made by Harbor Industries (spelling). real nice adapter, no leaking

Find someone with a bad block and take the adapter from it. Should be several places you can find a bad motor I'd think.

Just put one on my 64 SS with the 283. It was made by Fram. No leaks so far.
