I plan on installing a set of buckets... I was wondering which weighs more, 2 buckets, or 1 bench seat? Thanks.

Just a guess. Because I don't have a set of buckets or a bench that I can set on a scale. I would say the buckets weigh more due to the extra hardware. Is this for a shipping charge estimate?

If your talking stock seats, the buckets for sure.

Same reason that Dale mentioned.
A bench seat has two tracks, buckets have four.

Bucket seat cars also have an additional floor brace. This is necessary because you otherwise lose the rocker-to-rocker bracing that the bench seat provides (yes, the seat is a structural member in that sense!)

The bench seat out of my 70 El Camino weighs 95lbs!

I believe a bench seat weighs ~95 lbs. It sure did suck taking it out by myself to put in my new carpet kit. If a bench only weighs 95, then 2 buckets are DEFFINITLY heavier.
