Just thought I'd check with you guys as well... Have any of you heard of a temp gauge that's on the radio delete plate? I have one on mine, you see, and it seems original, as the rectangular gaugemechanism fits exactly in the center hole of the radio mount. It is Canadian built, and probably for export, as it was bought here in Finland in 1965. I don't see why anyone of the two previous owners would want to insert it, as the 230cid 6-syl doesn't exactly tend to overheat...

Yes, it's cold in Finland and yes, there are Chevelles here.

In my 30+ years of working on Chevelle I have never heard of or seen any gauge mounted in the radio delete plate. But then there have been other things I have never seen before and learn about the more I frequent this site.

Weird... it doesn't seem like something you'd need to add to a 230cid... I'll put some pics of it on-line and show you.
