Coppertop here (a.k.a. radiojoe)

I do have one, but not photographed and online, so I'll have to describe it for now,

First of all is it just am/fm or am/fm-stereo?

They are basically the same as the 1970 units, except for they have white numbering/blue tints on the corner of the plastic bezel unlike 1970's which have the greenish numbering and green tints.

There are 5 black pushbuttons below the dial itself, the dial is a "roll dial" when you switch the black slide bar (which is directly above the dial) it moves the internal screen up or down revealing AM or FM dial scales.

"DELCO" is written in very small script above the right most pushbuttons.

On the two upper right and left corners of the plastic dial bezel there should be what looks like blue over-spray.

e-mail me for more help if you need it.

Hey Coppertop, I hope by the aka Radiojoe you might be able to help me. First, thanks for the reply to my first question. Now heres my second question. It appears that the radio I have isn't what I thought it was, so this is a discription of what I have.
I think it is stereo because it has a fader and balance knob. Now here is whats different, it has the five push buttons but the selector switch for AM/FM is between the dial face and the push buttons. On the top set of numbers it has AM between the 10 and 12. On the lower buttons it says "Stereo" between the 88 and 92, "FM" between the 96 and 100 and "Delco" between the 104 and 108. There is also a amber light right next to the FM letters on the selector switch.

Fernie,

The radio, from what I can make of the description is a radio from the mid to late 1970's. It is not a 1st generation Chevelle radio.

By any chance is the slide bar chrome colored and the amber light very small?

The slide bar is black and the amber light is approximately 5/16 long and maybe 1/4 tall.

Hmmm, sound familiar, but can't place it to an exact year or vehicle. But, the main thing is it is not a '71-72 Chevelle radio.

I'm thinking perhaps a Pontiac radio?

Hope this helps.
