I just purchased bucket seat backs and lower side seat bases for my 1969 Chevelle SS. I noticed that the new backs and bases do not have ends molded into the plastic where the chrome strip ends. Chrome caps were provided with the chrome strip kit. The original seat backs and bases have black molded ends which do not require the chrome caps. What should 'original' look like?

I know what your talking about. I believe that the molded ends are an anchor for the end caps to clamp on to. I am not 100% on this so feel free to tar and feather me http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
