After seeing TC'S custom dash, I started putting this together for my volt, oil, and water gauges. It's not completely finished but the concept is there. Do you like?? console (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/TINMAN/console.jpg) console2 (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/TINMAN/console2.jpg) console3 (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/TINMAN/console3.jpg)

I like it. It's different and you can still check what your engine is doing at a glance.

I bought the autometer angle cups but the angle wasn't good. I bought some 2" pvc pipe at home depot and cut the desired angle. I also had to shave the inside of the pvc pipe so the gauges(2 1/16") could slide in. TC-I was orignally going to put the 3 gauges where the radio is(mine is in the glovebox) and I was going to put the clock in the console, but the gauges were too big without cutting dash.

Reason I'm asking is I'm expecting my phantom guages and AM apillar pod setup tomorrow from summit. Anybody have this or seen this setup for our 'velles? I hope it looks decent. I've never really liked my guages around the ashtray.
I considered trying to put my tach where the clock would be on my 68 since it did not have one originally but was learing of butchering the cluster and having it look funky..

Importech-autometer sells individual angled pods(cups) similar to what I made. You should be good with what you want to do.
