I have a '66 SS, original 396, auto, console, factory gauges, no a/c. I plan to put in a new engine electrical harness, dash harness, and forward lamp harness. For me, this is a lot of work.
So before beginning:

1. A friend said that A new fuse box is needed as well. Is it best to do this as well.

2. If you have any suggestions concerning what to do or not to do, I'd be appreciative to hear them now.

As Always, I sincerely apreciate your help!

Do one harness at a time. Check to see if the fuse box is connected to the new harness. I believe most of them come with it already. You will learn allot from just taking out the old harness. If possible, disconnect the old, then reconnect the new right away. Otherwise, it can get confusing.

Whats wrong with the old ones? If it is in good shape, you may be able to get a few bucks out of it when your done. Don't just cut it up, or toss it.
