I'm restoring a 68 SS car and I'm having a problem finding new or repro chrome armrest backing plastic.I have a pair of used ones that don't look that good.I know rechroming is avalible but these seem to have faint lines in the chrome running side to side.And this design would'nt be there after plating.Anyone have similar problem with these?

there was a post a few weeks ago similar to this. i think the general consensus was to find them in a junkyard or rechrome the exising ones.
