I finally installed the door panels in my wagon and they are in great shape but since they are almost 40 years old, the color has faded and doesn't match the new paint on the metal part of the door. I am thinking about dyeing them to get the color back. I have never done it before so I don't even know what products are out there to do it. What is the procedure and who makes the best stuff to get the job done right? Or should I just learn to live with the faded color.

As mentioned above, the vinyl needs to be super clean. When you think you have done enough cleaning steps, do one more to make sure. Good luck.
