I am purchasing a heater assembly from a doner car and would like to test the heater core before I install it.

How can this be done?

Tom,

Take it to a radiator repair shop and ask them to test it for you. The test should be free. After all it's really just a small radiator.

Then, if there is anything wrong with it they can repair it.

By the way why don't you just purchase a new heater core? They are very inexpensive... Around $15 bucks or so!

fast,

Thanks. Since I have a radiator to be tested, that will work out very well.

I had no idea they were that cheap. I would be way ahead to simply replace it.
