Im in the process of restoring and builing a 70 Malibu, which came stock with a bench seat. I want to put bucket seats in, but stock SS seats are neither cheap, nor easy to come by. Has anyone used buckets out of something else, or ordered them out of a catalog? and if so, which would you recommend?
Thanks for the help everyone...

69-72 A body (chevelle, monte, lemans, gto, skylark, gs, cutlass, 442) seats can be recovered with chevelle seat covers and are correct with the release button on the center of the back. Same seats just different covers in each car.

Seats from a late model camaro/firebird can work nicely. You need to shim the brackets to get the the seats level, but the size is right and they are pretty comfortable.
If you drill new holes to mount any different seat, be sure to reinforce the floor. You don't want the seat to pull loose in a panic stop or accident.
