Hi all. I am about to start restoring the interior of my A-Body. After reading numerous posts, I decided that I am going to outsource some of the labor to an upolsterey shop. This includes the seats and the headliner. I want to order the seat covers and headliner from OPG and have a shop install it. I live in the PHOENIX area and am looking for a reputable shop that will not give me any attitude for bringing in some of my own parts. Any suggestions? Also, is your average shop adept at dealing with the seat foam and springs? What about dealing with a severely cracked dash? Just Dashes is out. Waaay to expensive. smile.gif Anyway, thanks in advance. Hope to get some good info.

I'd just grab a phone book and go visit as many shops in your area as you can. Pick an upholsterer that you like and give him your business. You will probably find a wide variety of costs and quality and attitude...
A good shop should have no problems working with/redoing seat foam & springs. Dashboard should be no big deal either.
You might also consider waiting and talking to the shop about where they would order the parts from... Most likely you won't be saving any money by ordering it yourself- and you may get better quality stuff if the upholstery shop orders it from their sources.
Remember they are interior experts and deal with it all the time... OPG and the other resto houses sell Everything under the sun, and don't specialize in upholstery.
Hope this helps some!

Go to a local car show and ask around. You're guaranteed to find a few good upolterers there and you could see if they did a nice job or not.
