friend is redoing his 85 chevy pickup,he took his bench seat out and put in a set of buckets (not chevy seats)he would like to know where he can find brackets to mount them ,now he has them mounted on wood, then bolted to the floor ,he wants to keep those seats ,so i told him maybe a pair of chevy brackets from bucket seats would work with a little extra rigging, where can he start looking??

I'd suggest getting a machine shop guy that can fabricate something. I got a guy here that can repro anything for a reasonable price. Mounting on wood, that downright st*p*d and dangerous - unless it was something real hard like oak, and even then.

Jeg's has a universal mount and a sliding mount on page 8 of their catalog. Not sure if that will help. I used the slide to mount my racing buckets in my Chevelle. They did a great job...............t
