I'm redoing my 70 SS dash and have a question about the metal frame which the plastic mounts to. Mine is full of surface rust. I have already removed it from the plastic housing and plan to blast it clean. How should I finish it off? The areas that have little or no rust appear to be natural finish. I don't want it to rust again. Any ideas? Clear coat? Silver? I know that it won't be seen once it's mounted, but I would like it to look correct. Thanks, Tim
